Company announces $1 million investment in Estill, S.C. facility
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Oakwood Products, Inc. , which is a manufacturer of chemicals used in the pharmaceutical industry, is expanding its existing operations in Hampton County. The company’s $1 million investment is expected to result in 30 new vacancies at its Estill, S.C. facility.
Established in 1992, headquartered in West Columbia, S.C., Oakwood Products produces a wide range of organics, especially fluorine and sulfur compounds. The company also offers custom synthesis services.
This expansion will be achieved with the purchase and renovation of a 47,000-square-foot building in Estill Industrial Park, adjacent to Oakwood’s existing facility. The company plans to up-fit the facility to house manufacturing operations and approximately 3,000 square feet of office space.
Hiring for the 30 new jobs has already begun. As hiring progresses, Oakwood Products will publicize all open positions in The Hampton Guardian newspaper.
